13: Have We Landed Yet?

1. Pablo Picasso: “I am always doing that which I cannot do in order that I may learn how to do it.”
2. Announce or pronounce? Avenge or revenge?
3. You can tell how I’m doing with my aging process by how many times I have to call my own phone to find it.

4. Chairs that don’t rock are useless to me.
5. This is a Test- Time has saved me a seat / and this rocker is where I landed / as if transported from a classroom / where I watch the clock / waiting for the last bell to save me / Now the look back is longer / than the look forward is / and I’m watching for a door / onto a bright inspiration… Read my poem in its entirety HERE.
6. Did we let that deal go down? HERE.

7. Live Music, a riding bull, a bipartisan reading of the Declaration of Independence, a cooling station with misting fans, fireworks that brought oohs and aahs and were set off one on top of another for a memorable finale. Read more on my July 4th Floyd Celebration coverage for Floyd Times HERE.
8. You gotta go to a State Park named with your name like Bryce Canyon and Joshua Tree See HERE.
9. Joe and I did some Car Karaoke on the ride home from seeing the movie Disclosure Day and in answer to a Car Karaoke someone we know texted us.

10. Have we landed yet?

11. I read a poem at July’s Book House Open Mic that caused an audience member to ask if I was Catholic. I was raised Catholic and I told him so, although I didn’t know what part of the poem gave him the idea that I was. I told him I would bring some Catholic poems to read at the July Open Mic, which I did. HERE is one.
12. I remember the lies I told in confession / because kids have no real sins / and if they did they wouldn’t remember them / What else did God make? / God made all things / I always said / “I stole a cookie” – From What Else Did He Make, HERE.

13. Their team lost.

I don’t know if there’s a state park with my name. I suppose I should look. I do love to sing in the car. Best place for it.

I like rocking chairs, too, but I don’t have one. I used to have a glider rocker, but it fell apart.

Wow! Your poems are still so questionable and answered in your own unique way!
I thought of how “coincidental/ magical” the trip your men were on coincided with their given names!
Love the “car karaoke” you both showed passion while singing !!!!
